What HomeShieldIQ is

HomeShieldIQ is a free tool from CheckBackDaily.com that gives homeowners an Exterior Health Score, a seasonal maintenance plan, and a photo log for their home. This page explains what information we collect and how it's used.

Information we collect

• Account information: if you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (handled securely by Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your raw password).
• Home & assessment data: the home details and answers you provide during the assessment (home type, age, climate, and your answers about windows, gutters, roof, siding, driveway, and lawn), plus the scores calculated from them.
• Photos: photos you add to your home log are securely stored in your account (using Google Firebase Storage) so they're backed up and sync across your devices. If you're a customer of a pro who uses CheckBackDaily, photos your pro takes on the job may also appear in your account, labeled as added by that business.
• Find a Pro requests: if you request service, we store the service category, any notes, and the contact details you provide (your name, phone number, and address). If your request is routed to a participating pro, those details are shared with that pro so they can contact you about the job.
• Payments: if you pay a pro through the app, the payment is processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly.
• Referrals: if you share your referral link and a friend signs up through it, we record the referral so your pro can recognize that it came from you.

How we use your information

We use your information to run the app: calculating your score, building your maintenance plan, letting you log in from different devices, and — if your window-cleaning contractor uses CheckBackDaily — syncing your service history so it stays connected to your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

When we share your information

We share your information only to run the app: with the infrastructure providers below (Google Firebase and Stripe), with a pro when you send them a "Find a Pro" request or refer a friend to them, and if we're ever legally required to (for example, in response to a valid legal request). If your window-cleaning contractor uses CheckBackDaily, your service history and any job photos are synced to your account so you can see your own records.

Where your data lives

Account and assessment data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Storage for photos), a cloud infrastructure provider that also hosts this app. Payments are processed by Stripe. These providers may process your data on our behalf under their own data processing terms, but we do not grant them or any other third party rights to use your data beyond providing this service.

Your choices

• You can review and update your home details at any time from the Profile tab.
• You can delete a saved photo or quote request individually.
• You can permanently erase all of your HomeShieldIQ data — scores, tasks, quote requests, and photos — from the Profile tab using "Reset App Data."
• You can request that we delete your account entirely by contacting us.

Children's privacy

HomeShieldIQ is intended for homeowners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
